    Mavenlink in the Google Apps Marketplace

    #2 Project Management App & 5th Most Installed App in 2010

     

    Initiated by webbROI and the Mavenlink team, Mavenlink joined the Google Apps Marketplace in May 2010. Even though the Apps Marketplace launched two months prior, Mavenlink was able to climb the rankings quickly to hold onto a top-5 ranking in the Project Management category for a majority of 2010, culminating in grabbing the #3 spot by the end of the year. They were also consistently featured on the Google Apps Marketplace homepage as a top-rated app because of its 5-star reviews.

     

    As a result of its high ranking in the Project Management category (top installed category in 2010) and 5-star reviews, Mavenlink finished as the 5th most installed app in the entire Google Apps Marketplace in 2010.

     

    Wasting no time, Mavenlink continued to ride their momentum to grab the #2 Project Management spot in the first quarter of 2011.

     

    As cited by Mavenlink in March 2011, the Google Apps Marketplace visitors converted to Mavenlink users at a 4x higher rate than other channels. On their initial visit, these visitors spent over 3x the amount of time on site versus all other channels. Also, the bounce rate on initial visits of Marketplace visitors is half that of all other channels.

     

    That sounds like success to us.

     

    Update: In May 2011, Mavenlink was selected as the first staff pick by the Google Apps Marketplace team. Mavenlink was chose because of their seamless integrations with Google Docs, Contacts, and Calendar, and then helped launch the Google Tasks API with the Google Apps team a few days later.
